CodeChef, an online programming competition host (akin to an Indian version of TopCoder),  is holding an ACM ICPC style contest for students starting 21st November. With a prize budget of Rs. 3 lakhs, this event promises to be quite the competitive challenge even despite being held in the middle of exam-season.

The Shell Eco-marathon (SEM), a fuel efficiency challenge encouraging technology and innovation among today’s youth, will hold the inaugural Shell Eco-marathon Asia in Malaysia in July 2010. Shell has been running the Shell Eco-marathon in Europe for nearly 25 years. In 2007, the event was brought to the Americas. Having tremendous capability and talent, Asia is ready to take on the same challenge.

Riding on the popularity of MTV Roadies and its host and Executive Producer Raghu Ram, Kolkata-based youth magazine Kindle is bringing him on-ground for a f irst-ever�Raghu Ram�live chat show in the city of Kolkata �at Rang Manch, Swabhumi on April 5, 2009 from 5pm to 9pm.

Titled ‘The Kindle Raghu Ram Fiesta’, the live chat show event will play host to a select audience of 500 youngsters. The National Science & Technology Project Contest 2009 is being organized by SSN Research Center, Chennai.  It  is open to all graduate and post-graduate level college students who are currently on the rolls of recognized science / engineering / technology / management universities and institutes in India. Contestants must submit a Project Study on either of the topics: “Design of a LAN using 50 Hz power wiring in a building” Or “Design of a Solar Powered House”.
