Great Step

The Department of Mining Engineering celebrated their Annual Fest called ‘Great Step’ which has gone on to become the largest departmental fest of IIT Kharagpur since its inception in 2008. This year saw an increased participation from colleges like IT BHU, ISM Dhanbad among several others and prizes worth up to Rs 1 lakh were up for grabs. The event also saw guest lectures from eminent industry professional like Mr. K Gopal, Director – Sales & Marketing Asia, Takraf India Pvt Ltd and Dr. Holger Lieberwirth, CEO Asia, Takraf. The fest was a great success and a perfect platform for interaction between the industry and academia.
