    YES!+ @IIT Kharagpur observes a Polythene-free week

    The YES!+ team of IIT Kharagpur has undertaken an initiative to observe a polythene-free week from 11th - 17th April, 2011 in order to discourage the use of plastics and promote recyclable and biodegradable paper. It is open to participation by everyone, in and outside IIT Kharagpur.  To support the cause, one needs to carry jute or paper bags with them and demand paper bags from shopkeepers rather than polythene bags when one goes shopping.

      From hospital everyday they are distributing medicines in very strong polythene packets, which can be stopped.
