BioEnergy Center Inauguration at IIT Kharagpur

The Bio EnergyFlyerPK Sinha Center for BioEnergy at IIT Kharagpur will be launched on the 5th of January, 2010 in a ceremony graced by eminent personalities including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy and distinguished alumni like Mr. Prabhakant Sinha and Mr. Arjun Malhotra, among others.

All students and faculty are invited for the launching ceremony, to be held at Kalidas Auditorium. In view of the tight security in place during the event, students are requested to bring their Institute ID cards along. Attendees are advised to take their seats in the auditorium by 1:15 pm. An open session for students with pioneers in Bio-energy research, Chris Somerville, Luuk van dir Wielen and Prabhakant Sinha will also be conducted at Kalidas Auditorium from 5 to 6 pm. The theme of the session is “The Food, Energy and Environment Trilemma, post-Copenhagen”.
