Cicero, a trans-national advisory is organizing the Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition India in Kharagpur between November 6 and 7, with the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and IIT Kharagpur as official partners.

The competition invites students from India’s apex institutes of engineering, science and technology, and management to come up with renewable sustainable technology business plans to combat climate change and fortify India’s and (by extension) the world’s energy security.
This prestigious competition offers cash prizes of Rs. 1,00,000 to the winning team and Rs. 70,000 to the runners-up, apart from providing an opportunity to interact directly with top-tier venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.

The Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition India kicks off at the SRIC conference room on November 6 at 10 am and features a talk on Marketing of Technological Innovations by Professor Anjan Raichaudhuri of IIM Kolkata at the SN Bose Auditorium between 4.30 and 5.30 pm. The event will culminate in a prize distribution ceremony in Kalidas Auditorium at 11 am the next day.
