The Gymkhana elections shall be held on the 3rd of April 2009 (Friday). The Statement of Purpose schedule is as follows. Students are encouraged to attend the SOP box in large numbers.
Venue : Basket ball Court
31st March:
G Sec Sports : 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
G Sec Tech : 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
1st April
G Sec Soc-Cult: 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
VP: 8 p.m. onwards

I am a first year in Kgp. I have listened to both Mr. Shubham and Mr. Digvijay, and for me, Mr. Digvijay is my VP without a doubt. Hope he wins.

After the SOP, Thank God I can proudly say that my judgement was the right one. Congratulations on the wonderful performance- Mr. Digvijay.
I am a MMM hall resident and today I witnessed the first SOP of my Kgp life. I could not understand the technicalities of “the working of the fest” but I could make out the right VP for me. I appreciate the student community of IIT Kharagpur for giving us this opportunity to make our choice rather than 15 days of a boring and redundant campaign.
My vote will definitely go for Mr. Digvijay Gagneja.
I believe that a the above comments about Digvijay being ‘great’ in the SOP are being spammed by Nehru hall people only, because as I could clearly see in the SOP, he was no match whatsoever for Mr Shubham Matah whatsoever.
Spamming support for Digvijay Gagneja by Nehru will not help him win in anyway.I was in the SOP and I can say the fact that Mr. Digvijay does not stand even a slight chance against Mr.Shubham Matah and so can everyone else present there.
I request the admin to inspect the IPs of the above posted comments (as alleged from MMM) and I am sure these are stupid advertisement campaigns for Mr. Digvijay. The intensity of spamming clearly shows the desperate nature of Mr. Digvijay’s supporters. They have tasted defeat in yesterday’s SOPbox . I can say that with full confidence that Mr Shubham Matah is the ideal candidate for VP.

I had never ever thought that scholars avenue would be favouring a lossing candidate(hope all had seen the SOP) ie gagneja and is doing the so called poltu in IIT lingo. all know that Shubham Matah has been been associated with ktj as volu then core team member and then an excellent head and proved his caliber but ur the just scholars avenue team just writes that he had been ASSOCIATED WITH KTJ is totally unjustified whereas u r elaborating even the small participation of gagneja is totally unjustified if u elaborate the achievements of Shubham Matah the page would need to be scrolled several times. This is a direct YELLOW JOURNALISM done by THE SCHOLARS AVENUE.

i witnessed the soap yesterday and the way shubham was answering every question thrown at him, whether relevant or irrelevant,it cleary shows his cally….. his presentation and proposals were really great, specially the one on placements and other carrer oppurtunities….. i was awed by his witty and exact answers to every question…. he clearly knew anything and everything….. lets hope he wins the elections
i suggest 2 eveyone ……..first see the video of vp’s sop then decide about ur vital vote. Because ur wrong vote can affect not only u but the whole junta.
i saw the yesterday’s SOP and surely i can say that mr. subham should be our next vp.

this is really not fair, shubham was leading by 50 votes.. u cant keep janta in dark.. this should be discouraged.. every person has his right for opinion..

Who cares if Shubham Matah gave the better soap or that most of the IIT kgp junta want him as VP ? Who cares if Digvijay lies blatantly in his achievements list ….who cares if Digvijay is exceptionally arrogant whereas Matah is approachable and down to earth – these are no issues that will decide the election – as we all know it will finally come down to the dirtiest of politics and even the weaker candidate can be made to win provided you do enough chaos .
latest news : the candidature of RK’s tech nd soc-cult candidates is under the threat of being canceled. RK guys were found red handed by the president, distributing visiting cards of the candidates in MMM hall.

cards of RP & Azad Hall candidates have also been found…all halls distribute cards and good-morning slips…its something like a code of honour among thieves…but alas, some people are quite selective in their vendetta against a particular hall i must say….even after holding the highest gymkhana student posts, they would go to any lengths to settle their grudges and ‘screw’ a particular hall
get your facts right @ mathur….u dont know anything. Cards of RP Hall and Azad Hall were not found. YOu can clarify from any random first year.But cards of LLR were found. Ask any first year. No good morning slips were distributed either. RK has gone to unimaginable lengths to win the elections and see what happened!!!…..RK screwed due to its own mistake

no doubt, RK was at fault technically but it suffered merely because some ppl carried out the worst kind of vendetta due to personal grudges….this sets such a bad precedent for the future….get ready for more candis getting debarred in the next elections…..and a real tiff between RP and RK

I hope every one here knows that nothing out of the blue has happened and Mr. Ravi I can show you emails of candidates saying vote for your candidate from your hall seniors from AZ and RP.
So lets not discuss what extent etc because we all know that no one here has not tried his means to win this election.
What has happened is unfortunate and every one knows why limelight was shed on the two candidates who were almost certain winners and not on someone else.Rest is all up to you to decide.

and moreover this time money transactions were also done
the Happa of M.M.M was caught red handed while distributing Slips of AZAD,R.P,PATEL near polling booth while polling was going on in
R.R Block of M.M.M
They weren’t slips, dude. He was giving out his marriage invitation cards. You should have seen properly. Anyways, about the liquor, it wasnt alcohol–it was just plain old appy…..
